 A BREATH OF LIFE

AN ASTONISHING SECRET

Many of us live out our lives not knowing how precious, unique and lovable we are.  And when we are told this, we find it hard to believe.  We have six silent summer days to discover an amazing secret!

July 18th-July 25th          Fr. John Fullenbach, S.V.D.

 COMPASSION

Jesus fundamental message was to tell us who God really is and who we are: unconditionally loved and constantly surrounded with this compassionate concern.  But that remains for most people rather a theoretical knowledge.  The question is: where and how can we concretely experience this love and compassion in daily life?  What are the occasions in daily life where he discloses himself to me?  Only here can I become conscious of his love and find glimpses of him and that his message is true.  Because as Gandhi observed it rightly: God’s love for us shows itself only in concrete shapes of daily life.

FEAST OF YOUR BODY

Christmas reveals the divine beauty of our bodies and their senses, our hearts and their emotions.  Everything about them is an experience of God in whose image they are so beautifully fashioned.  A flawed theology and spirituality has made it almost impossible for us to believe that!  We have this weekend to make a new start.
