The Friends of the Briery are here for moral and a little financial support.

Launched in the Summer of 2016, we raise money to fund the little extras which help to make The Briery such a lovely place for visitors – whether that is some new upholstery on comfortable chairs, a more up-to-the-minute projector, fitted sheets or ergonomic bathroom taps….
We are in our early days, but have great plans.  Our intention is to come together each summer for a garden party and each winter for Mass and afternoon tea.  Eventually we may have our own special retreat days, focusing on friendship and support.
If you would like to join us, or just want more information, you can  click below to download the brochure, or telephone us and just ask.

Prayer Column

Our prayer intentions: For the health and wellbeing of all our Friends For the staff of the Briery - may they continue to work with love, gentleness and skill For those who have taken exams and are now awaiting results. May they see the fruits of their labours and be prepared for the next step in life. For those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire - for the dead and bereaved, the homeless and anxious. May those who are in a position to ease their pain be blessed with strength and compassion. Amen

Our logo

The Friends of the Briery logo shows the main doorway on Victoria Avenue.

We chose this as our logo as it is an example of the beauty of this wonderful old building but, more importantly, it is a symbol of welcome.  We welcome all to this haven of tranquillity.
